Factor-X Activator RVV-X (50U) (QTXRVVX-50) is a highly purified enzyme prepared from the Russell Viper Venom (Daboia Russelii); Manufactured by Q-TOX in Europe.

Product Brand:
Product Code: QTXRVVX-50
Description

Factor-X Activator RVV-X is an enzyme, with a major molecular weight of about 118 kDa, purified from the Russell Viper Venom, obtained from breeding animals, and freeze dried in presence of stabilizers, PEG 6000 and Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA).

RVV-X can be used in any applications, where Factor X activation to Factor Xa is needed and requires the presence of Calcium ions. Current applications include laboratory measurement of Factor X by quantitative conversion into the active Factor Xa enzyme, using clotting or chromogenic assays. 1 Unit (U) of RVV-X generates 1 International Unit (IU) of Factor Xa enzyme from coagulation Factor X protein.

RVV-X was validated, using SDS-PAGE, clotting and chromogenic assays, and demonstrated:

  • Band at MW of ~ 118 kDa on SDS-PAGE
  • Clotting activity at 0.0025 U/ml, with clotting time <50 seconds
  • Clotting time shortening of >40 seconds at 2.5 mU/ml
  • Chromogenic activity (A405 > 1) at 0.5 U/ml

RVV-X is available for research use only, not for use in diagnostic procedures.
